"Faithful Skies" is a new series where I showcase some of the best trance classics to grace the scene. Though I won't limit myself to just older tunes (if I hear a newer one I like, I'll mix it in), I want my mixes to highlight what made trance so special over the years.

天 (てん, pronounced "ten" in Japanese, or "tiān" in Chinese) is a kanji that means "heaven" or "sky". It's a simple concept, but it's association with sky and divinity/the heavenly capture the essence of the beauty I find in trance and progressive house. Many of the tunes I share capture a very real divine beauty that's intrinsic to God's creation - music included. The concept of 天 captures a small taste of that beauty.
